This workshop will be about finding your own unique vision of New York City by using the camera to explore the city in a direct, spontaneous way. Open to both serious amateurs and professionals alike, it is a workshop that will emphasize the development of your own personal way of seeing photographically. The workshop will also be about learning how to edit our work intuitively, and also include discussions about how to take your photography to the next level.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a workshop for photographers who want to collaborate with the world, not for those who wish to dramatically manipulate their images digitally.

TO APPLY: To apply, please email us 10 small jpegs (1080 pixels longest side, 72 dpi) that is work that you feel best represents who you are as a photographer, not work done solely to please a client. If you work in a series, please send us work from one or two series. In addition, please include a short paragraph about why you'd like to take this workshop (no more than 150 words, and a short bio (no more than 100 words), that includes where you currently live and something about your relationship to photography. Where are you going next with your photography project—and where is it taking you? This intensive weekend workshop will help photographers learn how to take their photographic projects to the next level through discussions with bookmakers Alex Webb, Rebecca Norris Webb, and Radius Books Creative Director David Chickey, who've collaborated on five books together. Over the weekend, the three book experts will tailor an assignment for each student, and also discuss a variety of topics, including how to sequence one's work intuitively, how to find an author for one's book, how to decide on the shape and cover image for a book.
